Dear fellow Singaporeans,

Every year in February, the Minister for Finance will present the planned expenditure for the following year which begins on 1 April. All our livelihoods are directly affected because the budget dictates how government is going to allocate financial resources to various sectors like the military, education, economic development, community services, healthcare.

ON 15 January, activists and supporters will be gathering at Speakers’ Corner (Hong Lim Park) to celebrate Yong Vui Kong’s 24^th birthday. His actual day of birth is the 19^th of January.

It has been four years since Vui Kong was arrested at Singapore’s Orchard Road. He was subsequently charged and sentenced to death for trafficking in 47.27g of heroin.
